Funeral services for Joseph Lee Boozy, 68, of Freeport, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Freeport, TX with Pastor Gene Grear officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria.
Joe, as he was lovingly called, passed away at UTMB in Galveston on January 25, 2025.
He was a member of Bethel Full Gospel Baptist Church and he loved listening to music and watching sports.
Joe leaves precious memories with his wife, Rhonda Boozy, Freeport; sons, Eric Boozy, Nakia Thomas, both of Brazoria and Kameron Craddock, Freeport; daughters, Keisha Boozy, Tampa, FL, Tudy Craddock, Freeport, LaTasha Hopkins, Houston, Kendal Thomas, Brazoria; sisters, Clara English, Barbara Martin, Faye Martin, all of Tampa, FL; brothers, Curtis and Larry Martin, both of Tampa, FL; friends, Curtis Phillips, Wayne Shirtum, Vincent James, Ray Boniaby; 24 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton.
Active pallbearers will be Curtis Phillips, Darren Woodard, Randy Craddock, Wayne Shirtum, Carl Harris, Melvin Bell, Darrell Virgil, Sr., and Vincent James.
