Obituary
John Allen Mazie, Jr., 84, of West Columbia passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Epps, Louisiana to John Allen Mazie, Sr. and Valerie Plunkett Mazie.
He was a member of Cornerstone Church of Nazarene. He was a Mason. He loved hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, wife of 65 years, Carolyn Jo Mazie of West Columbia; sons, Marc Mazie and wife Debbie and Brian Mazie both of West Columbia; daughter, Lisa Perdew and husband Peter of Leavenworth, Washington; sisters, Virginia Zimmerman and Connie Persons both of Hammond, Louisiana; brothers, Raydean Mazie and wife Linda Joyce of Minden, Louisiana and Ronnie Mazie and wife Betty of Hammond, Louisiana; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of Nazarene in Brazoria with Steve Meyers officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Gardner, Robert Fields, Jim Bertram and Thomas Lester.
