Funeral services for Jessie Earl Simon, 61, of Angleton will be Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, Angleton, TX with Pastor T.W. Hicks officiating.

Jessie was born on August 25, 1962 in Freeport, TX and passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 in Galveston, TX.

Jessie worked as a contractor in construction and remodeling.  He loved owning his own business but most of all he loved being a father.   He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, building, replacing and fixing cars, bikes and guns and spending time with his family. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Lee Simon and Annabelle Amos Simon; brothers, Sam Nelson, Johnnie Simon and Charles Nelson and sister, Jeanette Nelson.

Jessie leaves fond memories with his sons, Jessie Simon, Jr., Waco, Mike Lyons, Joshua Simon, David Villarreal, Alex Villarreal, Johnny Simon, all of Angleton; daughter, Charmaygan Simon; sister, Thelma Hall; brother, Carlos Simon; 20 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, January 12, 2024 at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
