Funeral Services for Jessie Mae Campbell, 92, of Brazoria will be Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Simple officiating and Minister Michael Stroman eulogizing. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.
She passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Cypress Woods Care Center in Angleton, TX.
She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and the Rocking A-T Riding Club. During her career, she worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor at Columbia Lakes in West Columbia and a Bus Barn Supervisor for Columbia-Brazoria ISD before she retired. Being a Avon Sales Representative for over 30 years, she brought joy and beauty to her customers, friends and family. She was a softball statistician and loved fishing and playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Emaline Farrington; husband, Bonnie Campbell; daughters, Brenda Joyce Woodard-Davis, Jean Campbell, Donna Lynn Higgins; sons, Thomas Woodard, Jr. and John “Skip” David Campbell.
She is survived by her daughter, Lydia “Ladybug” Campbell; sisters, Jimmie Perry Woodard and Lois Perry; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Woodard; 8 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Jibre Davis, Mekhi Davis, Clyde James Hendricks, Jr., Tavias Jones, Troy Jones and Quintin Stroman.
Visitation will be Friday, December 11, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask, practice social distancing and temperature will be checked.
Funeral will be limited to 100 attendees.
