Jefferson Roe, 88, of Brazoria passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Kindred Hospital Clear Lake in Webster, Texas. He was born on May 16, 1932 in Paxton, Texas to Thomas and Effie Roe,

He was a member of Gulf Coast Christian Center and an Usher. He was a member of Operating Engineers Union. He loved watching western movies, carpentry, deer hunting and spending time with his family.  He made friends wherever he went.  He would give people slips of paper with bible verses on them to let them know that God loved them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnn Roe; daughter, Ella Barnett; son, David Roe; brothers, Troy Roe, Everett Roe, Billy Roe and Roy Gene Roe; sister, JoAnn Oltz and sister-in-law, Pat Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories; daughter, Debra Ball and husband Patrick of Brazoria; sons, Truman Groom and wife Regina, Kenneth Groom and wife Esmeralda both of Brazoria; sisters, Martha Huft of Jones Creek and MeMe Brown and husband Michael of Angleton; brothers, Willie Roe of Jones Creek and Allen Roe and wife Cheri of Clute, son-in-law, Guy Barnett of West Columbia; brother-in-law, Henry Thomas of Brazoria; sister-in-law, Susie Thatcher and husband Wayne of Brazoria, 10 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Gulf Coast Christian Center in West Columbia with Pastor Bobby Hankins officiating. Burial will follow at Colonial Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.
