James Strait

James Michael Strait, 31, of Angleton, TX, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born January 3, 1993, in Moab, Utah.

His greatest achievements included overcoming addiction, 4 years sobriety, and having the love of a beautiful wife and children.  He enjoyed cars, stereos and gaming.

James was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Pearly Preston Strait, Sr. and Frank Bullock and uncle, Olin Strait.

He leaves precious memories with his wife, Pauline Strait, Angleton; father, Ben Strait, Sr. (Amy), Port Lavaca; mother, April Cavazos (Gilbert), Manvel; sons, Matthew O. Strait, Angleton and Casey Owen, Jr., Richwood; daughters, Serinitie Strait-Cavazos, Manvel and  Cayli O. Strait, Angleton; brothers, Ben Strait, Jr. (Liezle), Port Lavaca and Preston Strait III, California; sister, Crystal Soto (Chris), California; stepsisters, Amanda Sullivan (Marshall), Alvin and Katie Welsh, Manvel; grandparents, Kathy Leeson-Bullock, Purvis, Mississippi and Mary Strait, Port Lavaca; mother-in-law, Beatrice Blevins; sister-in-law, Jennifer Moreno; best friends, Leo Cantu, Luling and Cody Kuester, Nashville, Arkansas along with  a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton, with ordained minister, Jason Rhoads, officiating.
