James Cohen McKenzie Jr. "MAC"

James Cohen McKenzie, Jr. was born on January 27, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland to James Cohen McKenzie, Sr. and  Jewel Widner McKenzie. He was affectionately known as "MAC".

He passed away on September 30, 2019 at Pearland Medical Center in Pearland, Texas.

James was a great crane operator and rigger. He loved fishing, hunting, beekeeping and collecting arrowheads. He was a big Astros fan.

James was preceded in death by his father; James Cohen McKenzie, Sr.; brother, John Phillip McKenzie; grandparents, John Franklin Widner and Hattie Louvenia Widner.

James leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories; mother, Jewel McKenzie of Colquitt, Georgia; wife of 43 years, Nancy Gail King McKenzie of Brazoria; sons, Dallas Wayne McKenzie and Kyle David McKenxie both of Brazoria; sister, Janice McKenzie Heming and husband Woody of Columbia, South Carolina; brother, Michael McKenzie and wife Glenice of Memphis, Tennense, he had a special place in his heart for his granddaughter, Madilynn Bay McKenzie "Doodles" . He will be missed by many relatives near and far, along with many friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lake Jackson, Texas.
