James Evans Obituary
Funeral services for James Evans, 76, of Sweeny, TX will be Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Church in Brazoria, TX with Rev. A. J. Jones officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Danciger, TX.
James attended Powell Point High School and later went to work as a butcher for Lad Pac, Inc in Needville, TX. He went on to work for Brown and Root, Phillips Petroleum Plant and Stewarts Grocery.
He loved fishing and working around the church doing various fundraisers to help the church.
James leaves to cherish his precious memories: brother, Curtis Evans (Sherri); daughter, Lisa McLeod (Charles); sons, Joseph Patterson (Krystal), Robert Patterson (Diera); sister-in-law, Lillie Bell James; 25 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of family, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2025 at Dixon Funeral Home from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
