Funeral services for Jacquelyn “Jackie” Jammer Watkis of Brazoria, Texas will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, 1211 South Brooks, Brazoria, Texas.

The message will be delivered by Pastor Mark Jackson of Evangelist Chapel A.M.E. Church.

Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Jammer Watkis passed away on December 9, 2025 at home with family.

Jackie found joy in researching history, spending meaningful time with loved ones, reading, and supporting community and church activities. Above all, she treasured her role as a mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Jackie was preceded in death by Willie Jammer Sr.(Grandfather), Willie Jammer Jr.(Father), Bertha Mae Jammer(Grandmother), Hattie Woodard(Grandmother), Edith Harris(Aunt), Eve Jammer(Great-Niece), and Ke’Jae Robinson(God-son). 

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her mother, Bessie Jammer of Brazoria; her devoted daughter, Bryana Watkis of Katy; her stepdaughter, Tascieca Watkis of New York; her brothers, Gerald Jammer (Chrystal) of Richmond and Thomas Jammer Sr. (Danielle) of Houston; a cherished group of nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family members, Sigma Gamma Rho sorority sisters, fraternity brothers, dear friends and all who were blessed to know and love her.

Pallbearers will be Ellis Ray Hall, Thurston Hillmon, Jabari Mack, Wilbert Hall, Michael Willis, Vernon Truvillion, Michail Williams, and Michael Johnson.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home.
