Ja'Leon Deontae Royston-Laws

Funeral services for Ja’Leon Royston-Laws, 21, of Clute will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home – Angleton with Pastor Samuel Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow at Gulf Coast Cemetery in Clute, TX.

He passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

He was young man with many talents.  He loved football and his team was named the Hurricanes. He enjoyed training horses, basketball, dog  whisper, dancing, rapping, artistry and fishing.

Ja’Leon was preceded in death by his grandfather, DeDe Wright; great grandmother, Mineola Wright, both of Clute; and grandfather, James Leon Royston of Freeport.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his mother, Ericka L. Royston (Eric) of Clute, father, Steven Laws (Maria) of Richwood; brothers, Tommy Phoenix McDow (Jasmine) of Dickinson, Gerard Scott (Samantha) of Angleton; step brother, Joseph Milner of Richwood; sisters, Akira Royston-Garner of Katy, Katesha Laws, Victoria Laws, Elizabeth Laws; uncles, Jovan Royston (Clarinda) of Rosharon, Joaquim Royston (Amanda), Jeremy Royston (Charnae) both of Freeport, Chris Bell (Jennifer) of Dickinson; and  a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Royston, Joseph Milner, Tommy Pheonix McDow, Gerard Scott, Joavan Royston and Joaquim Royston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eric White, Chris Toney, Tarrius Stevens, Darius Lewis, Eric Hudson and Dominik Brown.

Visitation will be same day as service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
