 Funeral services for Horace Edward Jones, 85, of Angleton will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Brazoria with Rev. Maurice Jones, officiating. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

 He passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at HCA Clear Lake in Webster, TX.

 Horace attended Jack Yates High School and was drawn to football and track and field.  He was even more passionate about music.  He sang Bass and played the Bass Guitar.  He was affectionately known as “Hawk” because of his love of motorcycle driving.

He leaves to cherish his memories and legacy; his daughters, Devette Jones-Robinson (Claude), Esther Jones, Horeis Jones and Nicole Andrade; siblings, Leo and Linda Jackson, Clifton and Kimberly Jones, Nathaniel Jones, David and Loretta Jones-Edmondson, Daniel and Barbara Jones-Turknett, Edna Mae Jones, Robert Jones (Pearlie); 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Harry Chretin, Mark Pitts, Emile Williams, Billy Graham, Clifford Kelly and Lester Smith.

Visitation will be same day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

The Funeral Service will have a Maximum Capacity of 200 people.
