Helen Vogel

Helen Vogel, 82, of Brazoria passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in Lake Jackson, TX.  She was born February 21, 1943 to Jimmy Dowell and Vada Yarbrough

She was an artesian in painting, yarn, and floral. Many homes in the area are filled with her craftsmanship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Vogel; parents, Vada Yarbrough and Jimmy Franklin Dowell and daughter-in-law, Stacy Vogel.

She leaves to her memories, her children Debbie Davis Matcheski (JC), Billy Vogel, Dana Cox, grandson raised as son, Jeremy Vogel (Ashley) and nephew she considered a son Marty Strother; sister, Shirley Prihoda; grandchildren, Ryan Cox, Haley Cox, Hannah Treesh, Britany Mogford, Megan Vogel, Brandon Vogel, Clayton Vogel, Chris Petrosky and Brena Alaniz, Jeremiah Vogel and Abby Vogel; 15 great grandchildren best friends, Karen Cox, Lillie Payne, and Cindy Pisklak and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Wild Peach Community Church with Pastor Shirley Prihoda and Pastor David Foudray officiating. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, Brazoria.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Vogel, Jeremiah Vogel, Chris Petrosky, Brandon Vogel, Jason Ellison and Scott Sommons.
