Helen Macek, 75, of Watts, Oklahoma, formerly of Brazoria and Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, July 13, 2007 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
She was born July 28, 1931 in Damon, Texas. She was the daughter of Otto P. and Ella Lacina Macek.
She graduated from Richmond High School in Richmond, Texas. She attended and graduated from Southwestern Business College in Houston. She lived most of her life in the Houston and Brazoria area.
A loan and mortgage closing officer for Mellon Bank, she held a Texas real estate license as a tool of her trade. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Houston, where she taught Sunday School.
Helen was a member of the Supreme Lodge of Slavonic Benevolent Order of the State of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Beth Slomowitz. Survivors include a sister, Donna Pickle and husband David of Watts; three nieces and three aunts.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at First Presbyterian Chur4ch in Brazoria with Pastor Tracy Williams officiating.
There will be a reception in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
