Genesis Abril Sanchez, 19, of Sweeny, TX passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 in Austin, TX. She was born in Brownsville, TX on September 27, 2005 to Andrea Cecilia Sanchez Alonso.

She loved to go to the mall, listening to music, eating and being creative with make-up.

She was preceded in death by her Papa, Roberto Barrera Cortez.

She leaves precious memories with her father, Roberto Barrera Cortez; mother, Andrea Cecilia Sanchez Alonso; grandparents, Juana Alonso and Juan Sanchez; sister, Itzeth Barrera; brother, Yurek Barrera; best friends, Angie Gutierrez and Jennifer Cisneros; boyfriend, Tenfa Novio; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Iglesia Centro Cristiano in West Columbia, TX with Pastor Juan Tobar officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria, TX.
