Graveside Services for Freddie Lee Thomas, 72, of Angleton will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, TX with Rev. Benjamin Emanuel officiating.
He passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus, Angleton, TX.
Freddie was a member of Greater Handy A.M.E. Church and Rocking A-T Riding Club. He enjoyed golf, sports and was a BBQ Pitmaster. He worked for Walmart for many years as a Hardware and Paint Sales Associate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Jeanette Fyles; stepbrother, Jack D. Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Thomas, Angleton, TX; son, DuJuan Hammonds, Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Ashiea Hammonds, Angleton, TX; sisters, Virginia “Baby” Turner (Anthony), Barbara “Bobbie Lynn” Thomas, both of Angleton; stepmother, Carrie Thomas, Brazoria, TX; brothers, Emmitt Thomas, Angleton, TX, JC Lee (Faye), Beaumont; best friends, Clennon “Kilroy” Mills and Stanley Gaul; 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers Andre Turner, Anthony Turner III, Edward Branch, Nicholas Brown, Jeremy Brown, Kiev Turner, Keynan Thomas and Steven Tankersley.
Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton, TX.
