Funeral services for Flora Crane Ward, 89 of Brazoria will be Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Brazoria in Brazoria with Bishop Hollis Hall officiating and Apostle Kelvin Hall eulogizing. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.
She passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at her residence.
In her younger days she played softball on the Dodgerettes team. She was a domino pro, loved playing cards, listening to music and dancing. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Astros fan.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; daughters, Doris Williams (John), Ellenwood, Georgia, Carolyn S. Ward and Sandra Kaye Edwards (Roy) both of Freeport; sons, Arthur Tyrone Ward, Sr. (Edna), Dannie Raye Crane, Earl James Ward, Jr. (Linda) and Lyndon F. Ward all of Brazoria; additional son, Ronnie Lee Harris, Sweeny; special granddaughter/caretaker, Bionka Ward, Brazoria; special great granddaughter, Cidney Ward, Brazoria; sisters, Naomi Strambler (L.D.), Freeport, Dorothy Beverly and Marsha Burton both of Houston, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Chad J. Ward, De’Andre L. Simple, Donovan Brantley Ward, Arthur Tyrone Ward, Jr., Chad J. Ward, II and Trinity C. Ward.
Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
