Funeral Services for Ernestine Hall Bonner, 90, of Brazoria will be Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Church, 6437 FM 521, Brazoria with Rev. Booker T. Randon, officiating and Rev. Kenneth Bonner, eulogizing. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.
She passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025 at her residence.
She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, Choir President, Gospel Soloist and worked with Missions and the Trumpets and Chariotetts Youth Singing Group. She was a past member of the Eastern Star and Order of Pilgrim.
She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, uno and dominoes. She was famously known for her Pinto Beans Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Randon Hall and Melvin Hall, Sr. and her husband, Robert Lee Bonner.
She is survived by sons, Robert Earl Bonner (Marjorie) of Brazoria, Gerald Jerome Bonner (Zeola) of Freeport, Kenneth Ray Bonner (Carolynn) of Hercules, CA. and Marcus Leon Bonner (Rosalind Kay) of Brazoria; daughters, Charlotte Ann Hawkins (Thomas, Jr.) of Houston, Rhonda Yvette Tolbert (Harold, Jr.) of Austin, Melinda Alnice Bonner and Katrina Latrice Hooper, both of Brazoria; brothers, Melvin Ben Hall, Jr. (Elizabeth), Kelvin Hall and Hollis Hall (Marie), all of Brazoria; 31 Grandchildren; 57 Great Grandchildren; 12 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation: Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Church, 6437 FM 521, Brazoria, TX.
Active pallbearers will be Thomas L. Hawkins, III, Gerald Bonner, Jr., Brandon Tolbert, Kenneth Bonner, Jr., Jarvis Bonner and Richard Hooper, Jr.
