Elsie Mae (Fox) Compton

Elsie Mae Compton took her place in heaven on December 17, 2022. Born in Beeville, Texas on September 4,1941.

Elsie married Ivy Dale Compton on October 10, 1959. Eventually they made their way to Jones Creek, Texas in 1994 and they became long term residents of Jones Creek.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Etta Fox of Helena, Texas, brothers Harold Fox and Roy Lee Fox, son Anthony Dale Compton "Tommy", and her twin sister Nellie Fay Hoot.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years; Ivy Dale Compton, brother Elroy Fox (wife Yvette), son Chad Lynn Compton, grandsons Ryan Taylor Compton, Christopher Dale Compton (wife Crystal) and four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.        

Graveside service will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek, Texas with Pastor Brent Pittman officiating.
