Elsie Patricia (Mathews) Alfrey

Elsie Patricia Alfrey passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 in Needville, TX.  She was born September 20, 1945 to Ottis Mathews and Daisy Parnell in Dallas, TX.

Elsie worked for many years at Walmart as a crew leader.

She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, doing puzzles, taking care of her grandkids and family time.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Elsie leaves precious memories with her daughters, Sheila Alfrey (Adan Garza, Sr.), Sweeny, TX, Leah Alfrey (Brandon Prodoehl), Brazoria, TX; son, Buddy Alfrey, Jr. (Bobbie Jo), Angleton, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m.  – 12:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton.  Burial will follow at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dallas Wilson officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Buddy Alfrey, Jr., River Alfrey, Trey Alfrey, A. J. Garza, Jeremy Johnson and Javis Williams.
