Funeral services for Elder Jessie Mae Parker, 74, of Lake Jackson will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Greater Mount Zion Church, 6437 FM 521, Brazoria with Pastor Samuel Nelson officiating and Pastor Winston Rossow eulogizing. Burial will follow at Petteway Cemetery at Bethlehem Christian Church.
She passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Jessie was a retired nurse of 52 years. She was a member of Miracle House of Prayer, East End Oral History, Brazoria County Debutantes and Brazoria County Mentors.
She enjoyed praying (intercession), water aerobics, reading, writing and journaling.
Jessie leaves precious memories with her daughters, Coneic Price (Marcus), Keturah Parker (Dexter Smith); sisters, Annie Mae Nelson (Samuel), Cheryl Lynn Prince, Pearl Griggs, Glenda Hanson, Pamela Mock; brother, Elgin Woodard (Mercedes); sister-in-law, Evangeline Prince; aunt, Elnora Moore; God Son, Jonathan Nelson; friends, Sandra Edwards, Amy Pierce-Dickson, Bridget Gibson; grandchildren, Jaelin Brown (Anna), Jillian Parker, Jace Parker, Jacelyn Parker Jones; great-grandchildren, Leilani, Kai and Giani Brown and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Jercolby Smith, Jacory Joseph, Joshua Hickey, Jaleal Myles, Elton Woodard and Jammin Woodard.
Visitation will be same day as service from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m.
