Graveside services for Dorothy Mae Johnson, 94, of Brazoria will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, TX with Pastor Z. Thomas officiating and Apostle Kelvin Hall eulogizing.
She passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Cypress Woods Care Center in Angleton, TX.
Mrs. Dorothy was a member of Old Fashion Church of God in Christ. She was in the Sunshine Band, YPWW and attended bible study and prayer meetings. She enjoyed preserving fruit, working in her flower beds, praying and watching Gunsmoke and the Virginian.
She is survived by his sons, Donald W. Johnson, Floyd R. Johnson (Dana), both of Brazoria, Guy L. Johnson (Janice), Freeport, Herman Johnson, Sr., Cedar Lane; daughters, Marjorie Johnson Bonner, Brazoria, Sarah Johnson Phillips, Freeport; special son, Shadrack T. Nhiwatiwa, Freeport; adopted daughter, Elizabeth Williams, Clute; best friends, Mozella Thompson and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, September 10, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. Wake services will start at 4:00 p.m.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
