Debra Emerson, 67, of West Columbia went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 25, 2024 in Galveston, TX. She was born on March 12, 1957 in Freeport, TX.
D’Lynn, as she was affectionately known, enjoyed watching movies, especially the “True Blood” series and “Horror” movies. She loved to cook, listen to music, gardening, Facebook Farmville games and visiting with friends and family on her front porch.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Magee; sisters, Sharon Swinscoe, Rose Mary Herndan; brother, Kenneth Neal Loggins and grandsons, Gage and Taylor Emerson.
D’Lynn leaves precious memories with her son, Ronnie Shane Emerson of Tennessee; daughters, Synthia Emerson of Brazoria, Brigitte Clark of Houston; Jakie Clark of West Columbia; sister Glenda Slough (Jerry) of Brazoria; granddaughters, Heaven Emerson, McKenzie Emerson, Raven Emerson, Rayne Emerson, Scout McMains, Maegen Sirus, Vey Sirus, Marlee Sirus; grandsons, Asher Isaac Emerson, Ryker Emerson, Braydon Emerson, Caleb Emerson, Hardy Quisenberry, Curt Berry.
She also had a special group of friends at Brooks Manor that helped take care of her and she loved them dearly; Tammy, Marianne, Katherine, Debbie, Melissa, Charlie, Judy, Patricia and Diane.
Memorial Services will be on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Dixon Funeral Home with Kevin Clark officiating. Family will receive friends on the same day as service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
