Debora Joy (Friede) Mazie

Debora Joy Mazie, 64, of West Columbia passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 in Bay City, TX.

Debbie, as she was known to family and friends, worked as a special education speech therapist.  She has worked at both Brazosport Independent School District and Bay City Independent School District.  She was always happy and outgoing.  Her family, friends and her students were near and dear to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Helen Friede.

Debbie leaves precious memories with her husband, Marc Mazie of West Columbia; sons, Donovan Mazie of Houston and Jonathan Mazie (Alyse) of Colorado; sister, Barbara Friede of Houston; brothers, Cliff Friede of Alabama and Glen Friede of Houston; grandchildren, Logan and Liam Mazie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
