Funeral services for David Elijah Williams-Smith, 44, of Angleton will be at Dixon Funeral Home, Angleton, on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. John Roberson officiating and Dr. Charles Roberson, Pastor, eulogizing. Burial will be at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria.
He passed away on December 22, 2023 in Houston, Texas.
David was employed as an operator with Thermal Polymer.
He enjoyed watching football, especially, the New England Patriots, old cars, playing with his grandkids and being around family.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Smith; great-grandmother, Susie Patterson Beverly; maternal grandparents; A.C. Smith, Sr. and Dolia Smith; paternal grandparents, Charles “Red” Williams and Barbara Ray Williams; uncles, Clarence Williams and Ed Charles Beverly.
He leaves fond memories with his wife, Cheryl Williams-Smith, Angleton; father, David Williams; sons, Ja’Vone Bonner, Ke’Andre Bonner, Christopher Stroman (Autumn); daughter, Ashley Davidson; grandsons, Josiah, Messiah, Killian and Matthew; granddaughters, Jaliyah, Kalani, Aubrielle, Kenzleigh, Addielynn and Deilah; sisters Dewana Williams and Naomi Baldridge; brother, Charles Williams (Elizabeth); mother-in-law, Cheary Johnican (Riley); sister-in-laws, Virgie Stroman and Ebone Stroman; brother-in-laws, George Stroman, Quincy Stroman (Michelle), Ryan Gillespie and Don Gillespie and a host of other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Williams, David Williams, Sr., George Stroman, Jimmy Williams, Quincy Stroman, Larry Smith, Randy Smith, Charles Williams, and Riley Johnican.
Active pallbearers will be Ja’Vone Bonner, Ke’Andre Bonner, Christopher Stroman, Terrance Bell, Devin Williams and Noray Mouton.
Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2023 at Dixon Funeral Home, Angleton, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
