Funeral services for David E. Williams, 66, of Clute, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Blue Run Baptist Church, West Columbia with Dr. Charles Roberson officiating and Dr. Melvin Johnson eulogizing. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria.
David passed away in Galveston on Friday, July 12, 2024.
David enjoyed fishing, going to the gun range, spending time with his children and family, and watching his favorite football team the Denver Broncos.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Barbara Williams; grandparents, Robert Beverly, Sr. and Susie Patterson Beverly; brothers, Clarance Williams and Ed Beverly; and son, David Williams-Smith, Jr.
David leaves precious memories with his son, Charles Williams (Elizabeth), Manvel; daughters, Dewana Williams and fiancée Author Richardson, Sweeny, Naomi Baldridge, Lake Jackson; sisters, Bobby Hamilton (Billy), Sweeny, Elizabeth Williams (Rodney Strambler), Sweeny, Varnessa Woodard (Ricky), Cedar Lake, Lawanda Oliver (Melissa), North Carolina; brothers, Jimmie Williams, Churchill, Dennis Williams (Victoria), Angleton; special friend, Carolyn Baldridge, West Columbia; grandchildren, Ja’Vone, Ke’Andre, Konnar, Kayden, Ke’Darius, Carley, Elijah, Demarrion; great grandchildren, Josiah, Jaliyah, Messiah, Kalani; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Ke’Andre Bonner, Elijah Taylor, Ja’Vone Bonner, Terrance Bell, Devin Williams and Konnar Williams.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
