Darrin Scott Murphy
Darrin Scott Murphy, 30, of Angleton passed away on Wednesday, August 12 2020. He was born on January 19, 1990 in Clear Lake, Texas to Jackie Travis and Michael Murphy.
Darrin graduated from Columbia High School in the Class of 2008. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and riding motorcycles.
Darrin was a very passionate soul and touched many lives around him, if you had the opportunity to know him you could not help but love him. Darrin was a dedicated father, son, grandson, brother, friend and husband. Darrin was a gentle giant that cared deeply for his three sons and his family, as well as anyone who he came in contact with. Darrin spent his spare time building bicycles for his boys as well as building bicycles for his neighbor’s kids. He was passionate about helping anyone who needed help no matter what the task was, from working on his truck or someone’s vehicle to working on small equipment and building projects with his boys. Darrin had a gift to do these kinds of things. If Darrin knew you and knew you needed help he was there for you no questions asked and nothing expected in return.
Darrin leaves to cherish his loving memories; father, Michael Murphy and spouse Marlisa of Canyon Lake; mother, Jackie Travis and stepdad, Steve of West Columbia; Mother of Maddox and Maverick, Gladys Hernandez, Angleton; sons, Tyson Murphy of Lake Jackson, Maddox Murphy and Maverick Murphy both of Angleton; sisters, Brooke Murphy of West Columbia and Carrie Travis of Bay City; brothers, Blake McGee of Austin, Mason Murphy of San Marcos and Steven Travis of West Columbia; grandparents, Gail Murphy of Angleton and Joan Ivy of Lake Jackson, other relatives and friends.
