Danisha Rechell Pleasant

Funeral services for Danisha Pleasant, 46, of Houston will be Friday, March 11,      2022at11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount Zion Church in Brazoria with Pastor B.L. George officiating and Pastor Samuel Nelson eulogizing.  Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

She passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston, Texas.

She liked being a CNA and working with the elderly. She liked doing hair. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and babysitting.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; father, General Crecy (Helen), Brazoria; sons, Tye’quiel Cooks, Lexinton, TX and Joseph Colbert, Freeport; daughters, Lisa Wiley, Sweeny and Nadlynn Wright, Florida; brothers, General McGarity, Angleton, Aaron McGarity, Brazoria, Demetrius Nelson and Desmond Nelson (Nika Smith) both of Freeport and Dominique Nelson (Nicky Bileki), Lake Jackson; sisters, Adelaide Crecy, Rosharon, Demonica Harris, Jones Creek, Shanicce Hanks, Boling and Kimberly Thompson, Houston; host of other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Davylyn Nelson, Levar Wright, Kenneth Walker, Jaleal Myles, Jonathan Nelson and Michael Nelson.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
