Daniel Delbert Scott "Babba"

Daniel Delbert Scott, 72 of Brazoria passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on April 18, 1951 in Freeport, Texas to Clyde and Myrtle Scott.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Delbert Scott and Myrtle Elizabeth Mack Scott and daughter, Abbygail Danielle Scott.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories; loving and devoted wife, Jessie Lynne Mills Scott of Brazoria; daughter, Seychelle Lynne Scott; son-in-law, Charles William Havard; sister-in-law, Lisa Nielsen Mills; brother-in-law, Dale Rae Mills; grandchildren, William Lynn Havard and Daniel Thomas Havard; good friends, Teresa Venglar Orr, Alan Hanna, Steve Hanna, and Oscar Gonzales; other relatives and friends.

Danny, also known as Baba to his grandsons, will be remembered as a remarkable, extraordinary man. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He was fearless in everything he did and would do anything for those he loved. He holds a special place in our hearts and will be dearly missed. Jessie

I’m going to miss his wisdom and experience on maintaining the property and being able to call him for his advice on any personal issues or upcoming work projects. I’m going to miss shooting guns and enjoying a few beers talking the night away about past and future endeavors. Charles

I’m going to miss listening to him reminisce about his life. He knew how to do just about everything and taught us so much. I could call him anytime I needed help and he would be there ready to catch any critter or fix any leak. He had the best sense of humor and could always make me smile. He was truly one of a kind. A memorial service will be Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria, Texas.
