We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved father/grandfather, Charles Wayne "Pete" Hubbard, of West Columbia, Texas. Pete was born on January 10, 1946 and entered Heaven's gates on August 14, 2023, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He passed away, peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Pamela Lynne Harang-Hubbard, his parents, Fred and Grace Hubbard, and brother, Norman "Bubba" Hubbard.
He leaves behind his daughter, Kasey Goehring and husband, Paul, along with granddaughters Zoe' and Adysen Goehring, and sweet companion, Irma Pingenot, not to mention many close friends and relatives.
Pete was a successful owner/operator of his own trucking company for close to 40 years. After his retirement, Pete enjoyed spending time with his family, especially those two granddaughters, in which he was very proud. Over the years, many memories were made by going camping and having outdoor karaoke cookouts. His hobby was working on and restoring antique cars. He especially loved participating in car shows and going to charity events with The Classic Car Club of Brazoria County. Pete was also a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran that honorably served his country from 1965-1967.
We are currently in the process of arranging a private memorial to honor his life and will be in contact with family and friends.
Final arrangements entrusted to Dixon Funeral Home of Brazoria at (979)798-9113
