Carroll Truett Woods, Jr., 83, of Brazoria passed away on November 11, 2025. He was born in Houston, TX on September 11, 1942 to Carroll Truett Woods, Sr. and Gladys Woods.
He was a husband, father, engineer, coach, mentor, who was loved, admired and respected by everyone who knew him; including family.
Woody was very charismatic and could make friends with strangers easily. He would often have a Werther’s Caramel for the waitresses, Blackjack Dealers, or even Bank Tellers.
Even with as much overtime he worked while raising his 3 sons, he would still find time to coach baseball teams and guide his children with their many diverse activities. He could repair anything, from TV’s and refrigerators to cars or guitar amps, and he taught his sons many of those skills.
He was a healthy man with a strong vitality until Cancer cured him of his smoking habit.
He is survived by his 3 sons Carroll Truett Woods, III, Daniel Craig Woods and Rodney Carl Woods. He was also blessed with 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He also is survived by his daughter by choice, Laura Ann Loftus.
He will be missed by all, but will be remembered and celebrated in the many memories that were made.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Dixon Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
