Funeral services for Carl W. Strauther, Sr, 65, of Freeport, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 1501 CR 34, Angleton, TX with T. W. Hicks officiating and Tyrone Ward eulogizing.  Burial will follow at Providence Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carl passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at CHI St. Luke’s Health Brazosport in Lake Jackson, TX.

He had a passion for music, nice cars and hats.

Carl leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Melinda Strauther; son, Carl Wayne Strauther, Jr.; daughter, Charlette McBeth (Patrick) all of Angleton; brothers, Larry Strauther of Lake Jackson, Garry Strauther, Sr. (Theresa) of Clute, Bassett Strauther of Houston; special aunt, Mary Ann Sanders of Freeport; grandson, Draymon Austin of Houston; granddaughter, Dahalia Hudgins of Houston; special great grandchild, Karter Sims of Houston; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren;  and a host of other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Garry Strauther, Jr., Gayland Strauther, Lamont Strauther, Carnell Strauther, Clifford Bernard and Steven Tankersly.

Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2022 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:55 a.m.
