Carl Orise, Jr. Obituary

Funeral services for Carl Douglas Orise, Jr., 25, of Angleton, will be at
11:00 am on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Dixon Funeral Home - Angleton, with Rev. Craig Holloway officiating and Rev. Adrian Carter, Sr. eulogizing.  Burial will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Carl passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Rosharon.

He was a 2014 graduate of Angleton High School and was currently working on graduating in April 2022 with an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology from DeVry University.

His hobbies included basketball, bodybuilding, video gaming and hanging with his friends.

On October 7, 2020, the apple of his eye was born, Ava Grace Orise, which became his main focus in life.

Carl was a 3rd degree Black Belt in Martial Arts competed in multiple competitions. He also taught Martial Arts in Angleton.

Carl was a member of Cathedral of Faith-Market Street Baptist Church in Galveston.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis Orise Sr. and Laura Orise; grandfather, Curley Carter, Sr.; uncle, Curley Carter, Jr. and aunts, Patricia Stovall and Carolyn Black.

Carl leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his daughter, Ava Grace Orise (Ashley Cormier; parents, Carl Orise, Sr. and Bessie Orise; brother, Robert Wilson, Jr. (Stephanie); grandmother, Mary Myers; aunts, Priscella Miles (Eugene), Sheryl Jefferson (Walter), Linda Mills (Hanson), Jackie Morales, Paula Milburn, Phillis Gamble, Patricia Stoval; uncles Adrian Carter, Sr. (Merica), Willis Orise, Jr., Larry Orise (Roberta), Michael Orise and Jeff Orise; best friends, Josh Ibarra, Jordan Ibarra, Christian Spears, and Derrick Nelson and a host of  relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Jordan Ibarra, Josh Ibarra, Derrick Nelson, Christian Spears, Lance Orise and Printice Stovall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Wilson, Jr. (brother), Joshua Banks, Kendrick Carter, Eugene Miles, Treyvion Castille and Willie Carter.

Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2022 at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 East Mulberry, Angleton, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

Services will be limited to 100 attendees.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
