Funeral services for Caleb O’Neal Carethers, 29, of Angleton, will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Dixon Funeral Home - Angleton, with  Rev. Clarence Wade, Jr. officiating and Dr. Curtis Carethers eulogizing.  Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Chenango, TX.

Caleb passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

He loved spending time with his son and his family.

His hobbies included basketball, barbequing and listening to music.

Caleb leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Curtis Carethers and Sharion Carethers; son, Jayden Bates; siblings, Reba Carethers, Manvel, Texas and Joshua Carethers, Angleton, Texas;  maternal grandparents, Shirley Lacey, Oakwood, Texas and Kervin and Gloria Robinson, Jewett, Texas; 2 maternal aunts (Yvonne and Alisha) and 3 paternal aunts (Clara, Ann and Mary); 3 maternal uncles (Rodrick, James and Edward); 3 paternal uncles (Melvin, Charles and Herman) and an abundance of cousins and many more relatives who were so special to Caleb.  

Active pallbearers will be Jarrett Carethers, Clarence Wade, III, James Lacey, Jr., Chris Carethers, Leslie Carr and John Henry Phillips.

Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2022 at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 East Mulberry, Angleton, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

Services will be limited to 150 attendees.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
