Brandon Wayne Thatcher
Brandon Wayne Thatcher, 36, of Brazoria passed away November 9, 2020 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. Brandon was born on December 2, 1983 in Freeport, Texas to Wayne and Susan Thatcher.
Growing up, Brandon played many sports, including baseball, basketball and football. He was also a Boy Scout and a member of 4H. He enjoyed being outdoors, and loved spending time fishing and hunting with his dad. From a very young age, Brandon had a gift for taking things apart and putting them back together. This passion led to his lifelong career as a mechanic, often working on vehicles into the late hours of the night.
Brandon had a heart of gold, and would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. Brandon loved animals and took in many stray pets throughout his life. He was rarely seen without a Dr. Pepper in his hand.
Brandon is preceded in death by his grandfather, Melvin Thatcher; grandmother, Vivian Cyr; and grandmother, Jewel Watson.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Susan Thatcher; sister, Rebecca (Richard) Watts, his beloved dog, Willie, and many other family members and friends.
Family will receive friends on Monday, November 16, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Brazoria with funeral services starting at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Jordan officiating . Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.
Pallbearers are Jerred Skinner, Heath Maroul, Bubba Davis, Dawson Davis, Justin Taylor and Truman Groom.
Honorary Pallbearers are employees of A.W. Davis Tire and Automotive and Brazosport Tire.
