Funeral services for Brandis Rhea Kennerson, 42, of Lewisville, TX, will be Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Church, 6437 FM 521, Brazoria, TX, with Pastor Roland Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery, Brazoria, TX.
She passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Lewisville, TX.
Brandis was a member of Greater Mt. Zion Church, Brazoria, TX and a Sr. Human Resources Generalist at Texas Health Hospital in Frisco, TX. She had such a quiet gentle spirit. Throughout her life she received many awards too numerous to name.
Brandis loved taking care of her family, traveling, drawing and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ben Mack, Sr. and Dorothy Mack; paternal grandparents, Virgie Richard and Ollie Kennerson and godmother, Shirley Ford.
Brandis leaves behind loving memories with her spouse, Alex Gibson, Lewisville; parents, Margin Kerry and Florence Kennerson, Sr., Clute; father and mother-in-law, Ed and Fan Gibson, Garland; son, Elijah Eugene Gibson, Lewisville; daughter, Zoie Alexis-Rhea Gibson, Lewisville; sister, Latrevia Kennerson, Shreveport, LA; brother, Kerry Kennerson, Jr. (Marquita), Houston; one and only niece, Zion Yvonne Kennerson, Houston; aunts, Rita George, Brazoria and Darlene Kennerson, Houston; uncles, Ben Mack, Jr., Brazoria and Mark Kennerson, Houston; godfather, Ronnie Ford; special cousin, Sharon Allen; good friends, Angel Nelson, Latonya Bonner, Hope Morantes, Maria Zapata, Alana Withers and Adalene Muwwakkil and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Arthur George, Derrick Ford, Robert George, III, Justice Risher, Jaden George and Michael Nelson, Jr.
Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Church. Brazoria, TX.
