Obituary

Bobbye Evelyn Bradley Berkefelt was born March 5, 1925 in Henderson Texas and passed on January 22, 2021 in Lake Jackson Texas at 95 years old. She was the only child of William Stanley Bradley (Willie), and Iva P.earl Nicholas Bradley (Pearl) and was the granddaughter of a Confederate soldier and a descendant of Revolutionary War soldiers.

She attended Christian Tabernacle in Angleton Texas and lived for the Lord from a young age - filled with the Holy Spirit for about 90 years I

She married Earl Archie Berkefelt June 18, 1943 in Price Texas and was married 53 years. She had 4 children - Teresa Anita Berkefelt, Randall Earl Berkefelt, Stanley Berkefelt, and Terry Charles Berkefelt.

As many people can attest, God gifted Bobbye as a musician and singer. At a young age, she learned to play the piano and the accordian, including studying at the Stamps School of Music in Dallas Texas as a teenager. Her music career was dedicated to her Lord. Bobbye was a pianist/organist and singer in three different United Pentecostal churches in Texas for over 60 years. She taught 1,000's of piano lessons and even had students teaching piano lessons.

Bobbye's other interests centered around her children.

She sewed and made clothes for the children including matching sailor suits for her 3 boys for Easter, and was the only barber for Earl and her boys. She also was the manager/bookkeeper of an apartment complex and other family rental properties.

Bobbye and her husband Earl loved to travel and included their children in their travels. Their travels included the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Great Britian, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg, France, Holland, Australia, and New Zealand. After Earl passed in 1996, Bobbye continued to travel with her youngest son Terry including trips to Mexico, South America, Morocco, Hong Kong, China, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and Thailand.

Bobbye is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Pearl Bradley and husband Earl Berkefelt. Surviving her are her children - Teresa Foster, Randy Berkefelt, Stan Berkefelt, and Terry Berkefelt - her 7 grandsons Anthony James, Andrew James, Justin Berkefelt, Kyle Berkefelt, Byron Berkefelt, Bradley Berkefelt, and Zachary Berkefelt - her only granddaughter Gayla Berkefelt - her 2 great grandsons Logan Berkefelt and Forrest Berkefelt - and her 2 great granddaughters Hannah James and Aubrey Berkefelt.

A graveside service will be held at Duncan Cemetery in Good Springs Texas Wednesday January 27, 2021 at 2 pm. A memorial music service will be held at Christian Tabernacle in Angleton Texas on a date to be determined later.
