Beverly Ann Giles

Beverly Ann Giles was born on January 12, 1959 to the late Roscoe and Delia Hammons in Morrilton, AR.  She departed this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in Galveston, TX at University of Texas Medical Center. 

Beverly graduated from Morrilton High School in 1977 and then pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Central Arkansas. Throughout her life, Beverly enjoyed working in the social services realm.  She was the office manager at Baker Ripley Workforce Solutions.

Beverly professed Christ early in life and joined St. Matthew No. 2 Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Ezekiel Vaughn.  She continued her worship under the leadership of Bishop Milton White and Pastor Gene Grear at Bethel Full Gospel Baptist Church in Freeport, TX.

While at UCA in 1977, she met Arthur Giles and they were married in an intimate ceremony in Morrilton, AR.   On January 7, 1985 she welcomed her most prized possession Brandy Artrese. The family set roots in Lake Jackson, TX in 1990 and established their life there.  Beverly was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling the world with her daughter and spending time with her family.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Delia Hammons and two sisters Tammy and Kristian Hammons.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter Brandy Giles; partner Arthur Giles; three sisters; Carolyn Toney of Lake Jackson, TX, Treasa Holmes and Sharon (Sam) McDaniel of Morrilton, AR; seven brothers Freddie Hammons of Kansas City, MO, Kenneth Hammons and Michael (Marilyn) Hammons of Morrilton, AR, Robert (Lanita) Hammons of Plumerville, AR, Sammy Hammons of Malvern, AR, Kevin (Christie) Hammons of Conway, AR, and Rockie (Trish) Hammons of St. Vincent, AR; Aunt Mazie Wright of Morrilton, AR and Uncle Ellis Arstel Hammons of Center Ridge, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
