It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Bently Gelani Terrazas, age 22 months, who unexpectedly gained his angel wings on Monday, November 21, 2022 after succumbing to severe injuries from a car accident.

Bently was born on January 19, 2021 to Carlos Terrazas and Amiya Thomas of Brazoria, Texas. During his short time on Earth, Bently touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. This sweet and precious soul brought immeasurable joy to everyone he met and had a smile that could light up a room. He loved spending time with his family, playing with monster trucks, dancing to Baby Shark, spending time outside, jumping on his trampoline and helping his daddy and Uncle DJ fix things with their tools. He was a smart boy with an amazing personality who was learning to talk and count, with loads of energy and laughter. He enjoyed every opportunity to play in the water, whether at the beach or in the sprinklers or wading pool in the yard. Bently was a bright light in the world who was destined for greatness, a life that was cut short way too soon. His life was a brief gift to us that will live on in our hearts forever.

Bently will be missed tremendously everyday by his parents, Carlos Terrazas and Amiya Thomas; grandparents Stephany Delgado, Daniel Terrazas, Crystal Davenport, Kelvin Greer and Troy Thomas; great-grandparents Sandy Delgado, Dave Santos, Maria and Samuel Terrazas; uncles Ceaser Terrazas, DJ Terrazas, Markis Davenport, KJ Greer; aunts Cyerra Terrazas (Carey Thomas), Alonha Davenport, Audrie Jones, Brieonne Davenport, Laneisha Thomas; great uncles David Delgado, Jr., Brandon Delgado, Dylan Delgado (Jamie), Pablo Terrazas, Javier Terrazas; great aunts Samantha Santos (Uli Leija), Arica Delgado Quintana (Freddy), Gladys Martinez (Cesar), Marytza Arellano (Tito); cousins A’niylah and Majour Thomas, Evalynn Mitchell, Lil Chris Yarbrough, Jerimiah Davenport, Briezaea Dickson, Solis Peoples, Sincere Peoples, Kalin Yarbrough, Avea Dickson; great great aunt and uncle Cindy and Bob Santos; and countless other cousins, family and friends.

We take comfort knowing Bently was welcomed into heaven by his great great grandparents Minerva Pena Horn, Felipe “Sonny” Marin, Arlin “Skip” Dohle, Emilio Alvarado, Juanita Rivera; great great aunt Belinda Martindale, great grandmothers Darla Franklin and Margie Hall; great uncles Layton Davenport, Joe Alvarado, great aunt Rosa Terrazas; and cousins Aiden Lopez and Joe Anthony Alvarado.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 1 at 10 am at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 E Mulberry St., Angleton, TX 77515, followed by a lunch reception at Hanson Riverside County Park, 18499 Hwy 35, West Columbia, TX 77486. Guests are asked to wear bright, cheerful colors in Bently’s honor.
