Beatrice Hannah Merrell
A Celebration of Life for Beatrice Merrell, 78, of Angleton will be 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Angleton Cemetery Pavilion. She passed away on September 4, 2021 in Lake Jackson.
Beatrice was a member of Angleton First Assembly and currently attending Central Assembly of God.
Ms. Bea, as she was affectionately known by her friends and customers through waitressing at Golden Corral, was loved by many. Ms. Bea also worked as a health care provider until her health no longer permitted.
She was all about family, friends, grandchildren and great grand children. Family time was her most favorite time (the more, the merrier).
Ms. Bea loved the figs and oranges that grew in her back yard. She preserved, juiced what she could, and then shared them with others. She sewed for the public and served at church events. If she sat down, she was crocheting, mending, working on puzzles, playing board games or watching Hall Mark Christian Christmas movies.
She loved people. She never met a stranger and had the heart of a servant. Those that knew her over the years will remember her and she will and is missed by all of us.
Ms. Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Merrell Sr.; mother, Margaret Blythe Burlison; father, Frank George Folsom Sr.; brothers, Redford, Folsom, Frank George Folsom Jr., Ernest Burlison; sisters, Geraldine Rice, Ruby Sutherland, and Judy Stephans.
She leaves precious memories with her son, Robert V. Merrell Jr.; daughters, Beatrice Inez Merrell, Lisa Lynn Bess; sisters, Peggy Belenski, Emily Burris, Della Kabanuck, Sarah Honeyman; brother, Pat Burlison; best friend, Betty McCleney; 8 grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
