Antonio Guevara

Antonio Montanez Guevara, 57, of Freeport passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood, Texas. He was born on May 10, 1963 in Monterrey, Mexico to Vicente Guevara and Maria Montanez.

He was a former Deacon at La Iglesia Evangelical Cristiana Church and a member of The Lighthouse Baptist Church. He loved his church. He enjoyed being outdoors around his chickens. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his family and friends. He was employed at the Port of Freeport.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vicente Guevara.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories; wife, Socorro Guevara of Freeport; son, Oscar Guevara and wife Angela of Kansas City, Kansas and Max Guevara of Freeport; daughters, Cindy Guevara and spouse Cody Rex, Nadia Guevara, Wendy Guevara and spouse Francisco Rodriguez all of Freeport, Claudia Carrizales and spouse Jacob Carrizales, Clute; mother, Maria Montanez of Houston, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Maxwell Guevara, Jacob Carrizales, Cody Rex, Olegario Guevara, Leandro Guevara and Andy Carrizales.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to service time at Brazoria First Baptist Church in Brazoria. Funeral service will start at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
