Funeral services for Annie Mae Woodard, 76, of Lake Jackson will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 East Mulberry, Angleton, TX with Chalanda Allison officiating and Pastor T. Allison eulogizing. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria.
She passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Chi St Luke Brazosport in Lake Jackson, TX.
Annie was a member of Mt. Pilgram Baptist Church. One of her greatest accomplishments was being the first black Law Library Supervisor at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling and dancing. She also was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Theo and Clara Mack; sisters, Rozell Holiday and Susie Higgins; brother, Joe Alfred Mack.
She leaves precious memories with her daughter, Kandice Woodard of Lake Jackson; sisters, Pastor Theola Allison, Jordan Hawkins, Theresa Alston (Babe) all of Brazoria; special son, Elgin A. Woodard; best friend, Elizabeth Alston of Freeport; one grandchild, Brittany Wooten; God daughter, Calendar Allison and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Elgin A. Woodard, Carl Allison, Jr., Carlton Allison, Justin Charles, Sr., Thomas Holiday and Larry Mack.
Visitation will be Friday, June 21, 2024 at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
