Annette Elaine (Lemons) Bess

Funeral services for Annette Elaine Bess, 60, of Sweeny will be Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Zion, Brazoria, TX with Pastor Darrell James, Sr. officiating and Pastor Kenneth Bree eulogizing. Burial will follow at West Columbia Paradise Cemetery in West Columbia, TX.

She passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in Houston, TX.

Annette was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.  She worked in Document Control. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, baking and most of all, family gatherings.

She is preceded in death by her parents, A.D. Lemons and Retta Mae Thomas; brothers, Ira Thomas, Kenneth Thomas and Earnest Lemons; sister, Cinda Lou Lemons, and son, Jessie Roy Bess Jr.

Annette leaves to cherish memories with husband, Jessie Roy Bess Sr., Sweeny; sons, Jason Bess (Victoria), Angleton, Reginald Bess (Alma), West Columbia and Terry Bess; daughters, Sharetta Lemons (Alan), Rosharon, Tiffany Mathews (Cal), Houston; brothers, Claude King, Dallas, Robert Lemons (Berniece), Clute, Admiral Lemons, Houston; sisters, Laura Paige, Angleton, Sharon Lipkins, West Columbia, Paula Lemons, Angleton, Estella James, East Columbia and Clara Johnson, West Columbia; best friends, Alma and Melba Bess,  21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active Pallbearers: Rodrick Lemons, Chris Thomas, Justin Bess, Reggie Bess Jr., Eric Thomas and Roshon Bess.

Visitation will be Friday, November 15, 2024 at Dixon Funeral Home, Angleton, TX from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

Final arrangements entrusted to Dixon Funeral Home of Angleton.
