Angela Bernhausen "Angie" Obituary

Angela (Angie) Bernhausen, 57, of Sweeny, Texas passed away on March 22, 2025, at Sweeny Community Hospital.  She was born on June 8, 1967, in Hammond, Louisiana to parents Vernon and Lena Crosby.  She was second to the oldest of 4 children and could be found running and playing with them in childhood. At 11 years old Angela and Family moved from Ponchatoula, Louisiana to Angleton, Texas.

From an early age Angela’s love of music and painting brought peace and happiness. As a teenager, Angela would be at the beach listening to Pink Floyd or in her room painting a sunrise, her love of art always came through. As an adult, Angela would bring her nieces coloring books and crayons at every visit trying to grow their creative side. Angela was a loving and caring person to all she met and would give you anything in her house if she saw you liked it. From knickknacks she found from thrift stores or garage sales to things she bought at Walmart; Angela loved a good deal and couldn’t pass them up.

She is predeceased by her father Vernon Crosby and mother Lena Cochran.

Angela is survived by her 2 children, Brandon Crosby and Ryan Bernhausen; siblings, Theresa Chapman (husband David Chapman), Melissa Forbes (husband Dennis Forbes), Amanda Craig (husband Christopher Craig); nieces, Tiffany Ochoa, Tabitha Ciaccia, Alyssa Deaton, Allison Garcia, Ashley Steves, Piper Reed and nephew, Parker Reed.

A private memorial service for Angela will be held on April 16,2025 for family only. The family asks for no flowers, but a donation in her name to www.councilofrecovery.org.

Final arrangements entrusted to Dixon Funeral Home of Angleton at (979)849-8800.
