Memorial service for Willie James Lewis, Jr., 70, of Houston, formerly of West Columbia will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 E. Mulberry in Angleton, TX with Timothy Williams, officiating.
Willie James graduated from Jack Yates High School. He was a member of Greater St. Matthews Church and enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Virginia Lewis; father, Willie James Lewis, Sr. and two sons, Brandon Lewis and Garlon Ross; special uncle, Ray “Jap” Lovelace.
JR is survived by his mother, Ruth Helen Lewis (Brooks) of Houston; sons, Gregory Lee (Glenda) of Angleton and Boyd Lee of Clute; daughters, Tiffany Lewis of Houston, Virginia Jones (Kevin) of Louisville, TX and step daughter, Karmesha Duplichain of Houston; girlfriend, Bonita Duplechain; brothers, Harold Lewis of Arlington, TX and Robert Lewis (Jo Ann) of Houston; sisters, Tara Lewis-Johnson (Gilbert) of Wichita Falls, TX, Patricia Lewis and Sheela Lewis Jackson, both of Houston; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
