Funeral services for William Thomas, 71, of Brazoria will be Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Brazoria First Assembly of God Church in Brazoria with Rev. Karl Smith officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.
He passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Plaza Specialty Hospital in Houston, TX.
His hobbies were riding bulls, watching westerns and riding his bike around town. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Jackson and father, Wade Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his wife, Delores Austin Thomas, Brazoria; sons, Doug Thomas and Orlando “Doc” Grisbhy (Holly) both of Brazoria; daughters, Minerva “Pooh” Brown (Dominick), Pearland and Nikki Grisbhy, Clute; sister, Stella Mae Bell (Jessie), Angleton; brother, Charlie Thomas Jackson (Janice), Brazoria; good friends, Herman Payne and Joseph “Poncho” Moore, Jr. both of Brazoria; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Jackson, Brian Smith, Aaron Grisbhy, Roland Bell, Rusty Smith and Marshall Smith.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
