Thomas Eugene Minchew "Gene"

A celebration of Gene Minchew’s life, age 81 of Brazoria, will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Brazoria Church of Christ, 810 S. Brooks in Brazoria, TX with Bro. Rick Moore officiating. 

Gene Minchew was born November 1, 1936 to J.T. and Leona Minchew in Rusk, TX and passed away on November 26, 2017.  Gene moved to Brazoria as a young boy and remained a resident for the remainder of his life.  He was a pipefitter by trade and was a member of the Pipefitters Union Local 211.

 He is survived by three sons, Bo Minchew & wife Michelle of Brazoria, TX, David Minchew & wife Carol of Round Rock, TX, and Michael Minchew & wife Cami of Rossville, GA; nine gradchildren, Megan Evitts & husband Austin of Rosharon, TX, Chris Minchew of Brazoria, Ethan & Owen Minchew of Round Rock, TX, Doug Miller of Houston, TX, Rebekah Bartley & husband Jesse of Charlotte, NC, Brian Miller of Rossville, GA, and Ben & Troy Minchew of Rossville, GA; four great-grandchildren, Camryn Evitts and Channing, Brie & Everley Bartley; one sister Reba & husband Don Blaschke of The Woodlands, TX; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Gene is preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Minchew & Leona Shull and two sisters, Margaret Shipman and Maviron Shelton, both of Brazoria, TX.
