Funeral services for Sharona Sharee Tolbert, 36 of Rosharon will be Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Gulf Coast Christian Center in West Columbia with Rev. B.K. Williams officiating.  Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery
in Old Ocean, Texas.

Sharona passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 in West Columbia, TX.

She was member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Sharona was a devoted mother, a wonderful daughter, an amazing granddaughter, a delightful niece and a loyal friend, always trying to find the best in those around her. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was always cheerful, upbeat and positive.

She graduated from Columbia High School in 1993. As a student, her accomplishments included: outstanding Cheerleader for four years, CHS Most Beautiful Candidate in 1991, All-American Cheerleader Nominee in 1992, CHS
PALS from 1992-1993, Homecoming Queen Nominee in 1992, Belle of the Brazos Candidate in 1993 and voted CHS
Most Popular in 1993.  She graduated in 1996 from Brazosport Community College where she received her Associate Degree. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at University of Houston at Clear Lake, where she also received her Teacher's Certification. She obtained a teaching position at Ridge Gate Elementary in Missouri City where she taught two and a half years. She then accepted a teaching position at West Columbia Elementary where she was a first grade teacher.

She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Jaylon Blackmon, Jayden Blackmon and Jayla Blackmon, unborn
daughter, Jayda Nicole Blackmon, mother, Shirley Tolbert of Richwood and  father, Robert E. Bonner (Monica), brothers, Carl Tolbert (Ann Santoya) of Bay City and Broderick Bonner (Tosha) of Dallas, sisters, Collette Haynie (Devin) and Bridget Bonner both of Houston, Tiffany Pernetter (Justin) of Bay City and Robin Bonner of Florida, grandparents,  Robert L. and Earnestine Bonner of Brazoria and Essie M. Tolbert (the late Harold A. Tolbert, Sr.) of West Columbia, aunts, Melinda Bonner, Reeva Flannel (Marvin) both of Brazoria, Charlotte Hawkins (Thomas) of Missouri City, Ella King (David) of Angleton, Katrina Hooper (Richard) of Houston and Verna Tolbert, Sandra Brown and Lorrie Tolbert all of West Columbia, uncles, Harold Tolbert (Rhonda) of Austin, Gerald Bonner (Zenola) of Freeport, Rev. Kenneth Bonner (Carolyn) of California and Marcus Bonner (Roslyn) of Brazoria and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Marvin R. Flannel, Jr., Marc A. Edwards, Sr., David L. King, Roderick W. Tolbert,
Elisio J. Diggs and Jonathon Diggs.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl M. Tolbert, Broderick L. Tolbert, Harold A. Tolbert, Jr., Marcus L.
Bonner, Gerald J. Bonner and Rev. Kenneth Bonner.

Visitation will be Friday, September 30, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.

There will be viewing at the church on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. only.   There will be no viewing afterward.
