Funeral services for Rosie Lee Williams, 91, of Angleton formerly of Freeport will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 131 West 4th Street, Freeport with Bishop J. V. Williams in charge. Burial will follow at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church’s Cemetery in Cedar Lane, Texas.
She passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Freeport, Texas, where she participated in the Church’s Senior’s Group, Senior’s on the Move, when able. Rosie Lee was also a faithful member of the Eastern Star’s. Her hobbies included reading, word searches, solving puzzles, and watching sports on television.
Preceded her in death were her parents, Hillery and Laura Walker Williams; siblings and in laws, Claudia (Arthur), Earl (Nancy), Hearl, Sr. (Eloise), Vandervelt, Sr. (Norena), George, Sr. (Angie), Lloyd, Esther (Edna), Thursdon, Sr., Robert Lee, and Evelyn (Oscar, II.); Godson, Michael James Williams; and nieces and nephews, relatives and friends too numerous to name.
She leaves to cherish her memories; sister in law, Richie Jean Williams (Thursdon, Sr. deceased), loyal nieces and nephews, precious cousins and many loving friends.
Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
