Celebration of Life Services for R.L. James, 86, of Pledger, TX, will be Friday, September 21, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton with Rev. Anthony Hall officiating. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Pledger, TX.
R.L. was born to Steve and Addie James on September 9, 1932. He passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Richmond Healthcare Center in Richmond, TX. R.L. enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as adoring horses.
Mr. James was a dedicated worker for over thirty-five years at Cooper Industries in Richmond, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Addie James; wife, Nina; son, R.L. Jr.; and siblings: Freddie, Roosevelt, Odessa, J.L., and Lurline.
R.L. is survived by his sons, Roger James (Janean) and Eric James; sister, Earline Rideaux; grandchildren: Tyrell, Larissa, Tierra, Erica, and Zy’ Kharia in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton.
