Funeral services for Ralph Williams, Jr.,63, of Rosenberg will be Saturday, November
10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake with Pastor Kenneth Bree officiating and Rev. Arthur Williams eulogizing. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Texas.
He passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Rosenberg Health & Rehabilitation Center in Rosenberg, TX.
Ralph was a hard-working welder and truck driver for a number of years. He worked at Gulf State in Freeport, Texas, as-well-as, a welder for various contractors in the area. Additionally, Ralph drove an 18-wheeler for companies in-and-around Old Ocean and Wharton, Texas. Nicknamed “Man/Mayne,” “Highway,” and “Scrambler,” Ralph loved to fish, attend family gatherings, go to rodeo events, and play dominoes, his all-time favorite pastime in which he crowned his father Ralph Sr. and himself as “the kings of the game,” proclaiming that “no one in Matagorda, Brazoria, Wharton, Fort Bend, and Harris counties could compete on their level.”
He leaves to mourn his passing seven children: Cedric Ward-Austin, Yohance Murphy, Bay City, Shannon Pierce,Freeport, Vantray Williams, Danciger, Shondale Wiley, Danciger, Shacola Wiley, Danciger, Infinity Williams,Katy-; godchildren Alexis Green, Baytown, Cameron Brown, Danciger; siblings, Cathy Alexander (Wayne),Houston, Mary E. Active pallbearers will be Ted Jones, Sr., Garland Williams, Albert Smith, Jr., Tevin Austin, Dominique Williams and Corey Williams, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be D'Andre Barnes, Dexter Pettit, Nelson Brown, Tracy Simien, Devaun Jones, James Williams, Derrick Kent, Robby Williams and Sons of Ralph Williams, Jr.
Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
